• October 22, 2025: ASUU suspended the warning strike after the Federal Government requested more time and promised to re-engage in discussions.

• November 8–9, 2025: At an emergency NEC meeting, ASUU expressed dissatisfaction, citing that little to no progress had been made in the negotiations.

• November 15–17, 2025: Multiple ASUU zones, including Bauchi and Owerri, issued statements warning of a possible full-blown strike if issues were not addressed immediately.

• November 18, 2025: ASUU issued its strongest public warning yet, saying it may declare a total and indefinite strike if the government fails to meet commitments before the ultimatum expires.

What Happens Now?

Negotiations are reportedly ongoing, but progress has been described as unsatisfactory. Students, staff, and school administrators are growing increasingly anxious.
